New HBS greenhouses
Fully new materials, with the strength and sturdiness of professional horticultural greenhouses.
HBS type
For some applications, it makes sense to build the entire greenhouse with new materials. That way, we keep the strength and sturdiness of industrial greenhouses. For this reason, we developed our new “HBS” model. HBS stands for HoBbyserres Stappaerts, highlighting that this model is unique and produced, supplied and installed exclusively by us.
Just like our used greenhouses, the base of this greenhouse consists of a steel substructure similar to that of industrial professional greenhouses. Unlike the used greenhouses, the entire steel substructure is made from new steel with the unique metallic Magnelis® coating, which offers long-lasting protection against corrosion.

Colours and glass
An extra advantage of working with new materials is that we can lacquer your greenhouse in an attractive colour. In principle, any RAL colour is possible in gloss or textured coating. Our preference is textured coating because it is much more scratch-resistant. Dust and cobwebs also tend to stand out less than with a gloss finish.
RAL 9005 (black) textured coating is our standard colour, which we try to keep in stock so it can be delivered faster.
Our new greenhouses always include new float glass as standard in the base price. For an additional cost, toughened safety glass can also be provided. If desired, a discount can be obtained by choosing used glass.
Advantages and disadvantages compared to a used greenhouse
Advantages
- Available in different RAL colours in both gloss and textured coating.
- The glass is supplied in the correct size as standard, so nothing has to be cut by hand.
Disadvantages
- More expensive.
- Lead time for a coloured greenhouse can be longer. We often try to keep RAL 9005 (black) in stock; for other colours there is usually about 2 extra weeks needed, depending on the paint shop.

HBS Wall greenhouses
By wall greenhouses, we mean 2 different types:
- Standard HBS greenhouse placed with a gutter against a wall. This is the simplest and therefore cheapest solution. The greenhouse is placed against the wall but not fixed to it. This makes it an ideal solution for building against a neighbour’s wall without drilling into it. The side wall that would normally be on the wall side is omitted, which results in a price reduction. All HBS greenhouses with straight walls can be placed against a wall, but this must be indicated in advance.
- Classic wall greenhouse with 1 sloping roof plane.
Our HBS WALL GREENHOUSE models are available in various standard sizes.
Widths: 1.7m - 2m - 2.4m - 3.15m
Lengths: 3m - 4.5m - 6m - 7.5m - 9m - 10.5m - 12m - …
We have different models available on request. Because a wall greenhouse with one sloping roof plane has specific requirements, you can request the price by e-mail, mentioning the exact dimensions and including a photo of the wall it will be placed against. We ask this because we like to advise you properly.
